Tomek and his story...

Tomek is an incredible man. Even in our worst nightmares, we could never have predicted that a diagnosis would come into his life, one that would change almost everything. Almost everything, because his smile and the spark in his eye still make him, despite all the difficulties, spread positivity and the will to fight to others. Although the battle he is fighting is full of suffering and sudden turns of events...

In November 2023, Tomek was diagnosed with a brain tumor of grade II. Seizures destroyed each of his days, becoming progressively worse. Exactly on January 10, 2024, he underwent a complicated neurosurgery with partial tumor removal. Complete resection was not possible due to the size and location of the tumor.

The surgery was complicated by brain swelling – a reoperation was required, involving removal of part of the skull, a condition that Tomek lives with to this day. After the surgery, he suffered from a severe systemic infection and was in a coma in the intensive care unit. He was treated with antibiotics and was connected to a ventilator. His condition was critical, and the doctors were at a loss, but then a MIRACLE happened! After several days, his condition began to improve. Tomek woke up from the coma, but mixed sensory-motor aphasia occurred...

Tomasz Wypchlak

Speech therapy and physiotherapy brought significant progress in restoring the motor functions necessary for daily functioning and communication with the world. Afterwards, Tomek underwent a course of radiotherapy, and now he is receiving monthly oral chemotherapy. His condition is described as good, but in the fight against such a tough opponent, one must be prepared for anything! One never knows when the enemy will strike again.

Tomek is a man filled with energy, helping many people with similar ailments. He participates in meetings where he shares his story and his motto, which he repeats in the hardest moments – "You have to fight until the end!" Today, we would like to reverse the roles and give him the support that he himself gives to others.

At the moment, Tomek is struggling with the daily expenses, bills, and invoices for medications supporting his therapy. He receives rehabilitation benefits, but unfortunately, the costs of therapy and transportation often exceed his monthly budget. That is why we are asking from the bottom of our hearts for your support. Every even the smallest donation is incredibly important. Together, we have great power!
